Hardscaping is the permanent, non-living side of your outdoor space — the surfaces and structures made from pavers, stone, and concrete rather than grass and plants. Construction begins with the invisible work that determines whether a hardscape lasts — excavation to the right depth, a properly compacted gravel base, and drainage planned for Chesapeake's flat, wet terrain. Only then do the pavers go down, cut clean and set true. We finish with a walkthrough, and we're not done until you're satisfied with every edge and joint.
